About Me

Is Life an Intelligent Process?

This question has been the North Star of my academic journey. Trained as a physicist, I moved into Complexity Science to explore intelligence through the lens of emergence and self-organization. By applying tools from Information Theory and Network Science to neuroscience and ecology, I have come to see intelligence not as a biological accident, but as an inherent property of self-organizing systems.

Currently, I am applying these principles to the field of Neuro-AI. As a Schmidt Sciences Fellow at the Neural Reckoning Lab and the I-X Centre for AI in Science, my research focuses on how emergent self-organization enables task-generalization in Artificial Neural Networks.

I like to write, bake and meditate on long hikes.
